Library staff are constantly engaged in collection development—but what about vendor product development practices? How do vendors decide when to bring a new resource to market? How do vendors go about finding content and forging strategies for developing new resources? What internal processes do vendors have to determine community needs, product viability, and other critical factors? Attendees will hear from leaders at both established and emerging vendors how their companies make decisions and develop products. Befitting the dialogue-oriented format, panelists will make sure to set aside time for questions and comments from the audience.
