Learn how University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) implemented granular usage reporting to get more insights into their ScienceDirect usage Recording
Just like many libraries, University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) sought ways to gain more control over access to licensed resources, improve decision-making and meet the growing need of providing data for ROI deliberations and budgeting decisions. As the pandemic accelerated the need for remote access, UNMC’s decision on a migration from IP access for licensed resources, to federated access to enable a secure, reliable remote access mechanism using OpenAthens proved timely. This in turn set the foundation for them to work with Elsevier to pilot COUNTER level granular usage reporting in a way that maintains end-user privacy.
Join us as Alison Bobal, Head of Collection Development and Metadata at UNMC,Farah Karimi, Identity Professional Services Team Lead at Elsevier and Rob Scaysbrook, Head of Global Sales and Partnerships at OpenAthens share their successful case study working together to make the innovative COUNTER-level granular usage reporting for licensed resources possible.
There will be a Q&A with the speakers at the end of the session.
Farah Karimi is the Team Lead in the Identity space at Elsevier. Her team's goal is to streamline the processes for IAM (Identity and Access Management) and innovations to support customer access needs.
